I am a Junior Fellow for Trade, Equity & Development program at Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, Washington, D.C. I graduated with a major in econoimcs and a minor in mathematics from Dickinson College, Carlisle, PA in May 2009.
I am interested in development economics, especially on economic growth, public policy, trade and development. I love reading research papers and blogs, books on issues related to development economics, articles on development issues, and writing blogs focusing on economic growth, public policy, and development in the developing countries.
I am from Nepal, a landlocked country and one of the most poorest regions in South Asia. I was born in Syangja, a rural region located in Western Nepal. I joined Dickinson College in Fall 2005 (Class of 2009). Before coming to Dickinson, I worked as a business reporter at The Kathmandu Post, an English-language daily in Nepal, for over a year. Now, I occasionally write op-eds (see Articles to read some of my pieces) focusing on economic and devleopment issues for newpapers published in Nepal. My approach to economic thinking centers on the need for a close interaction between government and the market (private sector) for sustainable growth and development.
I regularly blog on issues related to economic development, public policy, and development in the developing countries. Read my blog here.
